Map
For my map I decided to focus on what was most important during the semester which was visiting my sister. I drew her and I biggest on the board. I ripped pages from this book that I write everything down on and put them in random order on top of the board. I wrote sentences about how I was feeling about this visit and put them over the schedules. This is to show that though I so much going on I still think about her. I also put drawings of my projects in cfc and my projects always change multiple times during the process so I wrote the ideas about what to do for these projects on the card.

Metamorphasis
The Human Condition
For this project, my description was a sculpture of a Jeff Koons of a balloon dog. I created a small sculpture of a balloon dog with paper mache. I chose to not paint it even though the actual dog is a metallic pink. For the second project I chose to use a different part of the description. It said that buildings were reflected off the dog and it looked like it was placed in a city. I created buildings that looked like they were reflected off of something out of newspaper and printed text.
Body Extension
For my body extension, I had trouble creating a project that I thought would be an actual extension of the body. After starting and redoing many ideas, I came out with a pillow that extends from your shoulders. It is a way to sleep while standing up. I personally am not to proud of the outcome of this project. There were many things that wouldnt quite work for me, and I think I settle with something that I could just turn in. The outcome for this project is my least favorite.
5 Obstructions
In this film, director Lars Von Trier has Jorgen Leth, the creator of The Perfect Human, remake his film 5 times, each time having a different focus. He has him interpret it as a cartoon, in the most miserable place, in Cuba with only 12 frames, redo it anyway he wants, and finally Von Trier remakes it and has Leth narrate it. The remake in Cuba was the one that I enjoyed the most. The way he used the 12 frames and the choppy way about it appealed to me. For the animation, Leth brought together elements from all the different films which was an interesting approach. It didnt have the same feeling as the other films because it was an animation, but since he took bits and pieces from the other films it came together well.
It was interesting to see how Leth responded to instructions that Von Trier gave to him. When filming the one in the most miserable place, Von Trier makes Leth redo it again. He chooses to redo it again in Brussels. This one was the one that was the saddest. The first filming of the most miserable place was in Bombay. He had a screen seperating him from the background. I agreed with Von Trier when he had Leth redo it. Leth using a screen didnt really show what made Bombay the most miserable place to him.
